Established in the year 2003, GIG Education Centre has developed its own niche of trained teachers for enrichment, academic teaching and corporate training. It has proved itself to the education sector as one of the very few catalysts for success. 

G I G, as a Singapore based Private Education Organisation, is registered with the Council for Private Education. It provides internationally recognised Diploma programmes to boost a student’s teaching and training portfolio run by a strong pool of highly dynamic trainers. For more than 5 years, it successfully runs the Diploma of Enrichment Studies programme accredited by The College of Teachers for individuals who wish to focus in child development and a steady career in Enrichment Education.
With a focus to maximize teaching and curriculum development skills, courses in soft skills are also conducted.

Looking Forward

With the overwhelming response and need for Singapore teachers and neighbouring countries, G I G – The Teacher Developer envisions being one of The College of Teachers representative in the Asia Pacific region. Overseas queries from Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, India and Myanmar were received enquiring if we run or can run the programmes in their respective countries. These countries are already catching up with the latest trend in global education standard and see a need to partner an established Centre. Currently, a discussion is going on with China partners to run G I G operations in China.

G I G is sourcing renowned and established educationists to give talks and training in Singapore. In the same way, local students can effectively collaborate with European students and freely exchange ideas, experiences, tips and teaching reflections for professional growth.

The Centre is also looking forward to collaborate closely with The College to run Diploma in TESOL, develop more Diploma programmes in the areas of Language Arts and garner higher recognition for the DOES  as a credit for Higher Education.
