Communication conference

Communication and Literacy Matters conference - 10 November 2011

The year 2011 has been designated by the UK Government as the National Year of Communication, with the aim of putting the importance of speech, language and communication firmly on the public radar. The College of Teachers held its first International Communication Conference in November at the Institute of Education. With nine acclaimed speakers, the conference was a resounding success. Delegates came from a number of different backgrounds including teaching, education and local authorities to create interesting discussion.

Next event

The success and widespread popularity of this event will now lead to the bigger International Communication Conference in 2012, which will be funded by the EU project and Illiad project. It will again be aimed at: teachers, parents, people working with children, young people, commissioners and providers of related services.
