The year 2011 has been designated by the UK Government as the National Year of Communication, with the aim of putting the importance of speech, language and communication firmly on the public radar. The College of Teachers held its first International Communication Conference in November at the Institute of Education. With nine acclaimed speakers, the conference was a resounding success.
