We recognise the expertise and achievement of qualified teachers with Membership (MCollT). We welcome applications for Membership of the College of Teachers from appropriately qualified teachers and lecturers based in the UK or overseas. In this context 'qualified' will normally be interpreted as meeting the standards required to be recognised as a qualified teacher in the country where the prospective member is resident although The College reserves the right to review the criteria.

Membership entitles the Member to:

• Use of the post-nominal MCollT;
• Enhanced professional standing;
• A quarterly Newsletter;
• A copy of the quarterly journal Education Today;
• Discounts on certain items such as healthcare insurance premiums and products from educational bookshops.
