On 14 October 2009 a statement released by Cambridge Education referred to the provision of professional recognition for the GTCE's 'Teacher Learning Academy' supplied by The College of Teachers.

This statement was factually incorrect and The College of Teachers was not consulted about this statement prior to its release. The College is taking action to secure that information about its qualifications in future is accurately represented.
